It's been a while.

Let's see...

First things first, James came home a day early today! Yay! He's tiiiiiiiired. Lot's of i's.

Emily can't eat anything without making a mess to save her life! This child can make an ordinary sandwich a mess on her face, hands, hair, clothes, the table & floor. This is what happened today. I can't leave her alone for a moment. The other day, I left her downstairs, watching cartoons, while I went upstairs to nurse Ethan before his "morning nap". I came back downstairs about 15-20 minutes later and found Emily had gotten both bottles of chocolate syrup out of the refrigerator and poured them into a plastic cup. The cup was full as full can be, syrup dripped over the table, on the floor, on the chair, on Emily. Goodness Grace! Today, I turned my back for a few minutes and came back to find she had dumped the whole container of beta fish food on the couch! I just vacuumed the couch and loveseat yesterday! Pulled the cushions off, fluffed them, vacuumed all over the darn thing! What can you do though?

Ethan is teething! You can see and feel his first tooth incredibly well today! He's still crawling around and pulling up onto things. I'm really worried he's going to give himself a concusion at the rate he's going. He's great and getting around and pulling up, but after that, he's not so great. He falls backwards a lot, straight onto the back of his head. Then he cries and I hold him, but I'm so afraid he's going to get really hurt! The girls didn't have this problem, sure they had falls, bumps and bruises, but not like this and definitely not this early. Sheesh! This poor little guy got stuck halfway into the toy basket a couple days ago. It was pretty funny, not to him, but to us big people it was!
Rachael finally cleaned her room! YAY! So now, we can move her into Emily's room and move Ethan into Rach's room! This will be much more convenient for us, so that Ethan can nap undisturbed, especially when Em needs quiet time the same afternoon. I've tried it (they share a room, currently) and it just isn't working.
I DVR'd the A&M game on Saturday and we're watching it right now. Well, we're watching it as much as we can. I'm writing this and James is on the phone with his mom, but I'm looking up a lot. I love to watch the games on TV and hear the Aggies in the stands humming aloud the "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" as they wave their 12th man towels. Being at those games was certainly something I'll never forget. I only missed a few march-ins, but man, those were good times! I think my favorite part was being there, Rachael in tow, for the march ins (even if I wasn't attending the game) and the times James and I were both in the corps block (and we always spot it out at the home games on TV). I imagine LaDelle, sitting in her front room, watching the game on a local channel. These days, I don't know how well she follows the Aggies.
Emily keeps getting up. It's almost 9 p.m.
I, finally, watched Made of Honor last night. Cute movie, totally predictable, but I enjoyed it. I highly recommend to all my girlfriends this movie, it was great for a few laughs and kill an hour or two.
The boy is awake, think I'll feed him or find him a chewy for his gums. Night night!
